*Philomena - Digital

Philomena was inspired by Michelle Yeo’s love of 1830-1840s fabrics, particularly those with birds and flowers. In 2023, she was lucky enough to find three fabrics dating back to this period that featured birds, flowers and baskets. Right away, she knew this was the start of a new fabric collection. The main print in the line consists of seven different baskets each containing a unique floral arrangement with birds. This print can be used as a panel for the center of a quilt or you can cut out each of the baskets to be a standalone block. For lovers of Broderie Perse, the fabric can be cut further into individual flowers or birds that can then be rearranged to create a new design for appliqué. The toile is a reproduction print that has been enhanced with lacey tails and two elegant birds. Philomena of course includes Michelle’s signature serpentine print that makes for great narrow borders or to create movement within a quilt. Bring a touch of history into your home with Philomena by Michelle Yeo.
